2019 Wuhan Workshop on “Organic and Perovskite Optoelectronics”

Organic semiconductors and organohalide perovskites have emerged as the most promising optoelectronic materials in the last two decades. They have been successfully introduced to various platforms, including solar cells, photodetectors, light emitting diodes (LEDs) and thin film transistors etc. For instance, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of organic solar cells with non-fullerene acceptors reached 16.5%. Perovskite solar cells updated the highest PCE of 24.2%. Particularly, OLEDs have been commercialized, and perovskite LEDs are on the way. Moreover, highly sensitive perovskite photodetectors, such as perovskite x-ray and γ-ray detectors, have attracted tremendous attention. However, there are also a few challenges facing organic and perovskite devices, i.e., up-scaling issues, processing and underlying working mechanism. In this workshop on “Organic and Perovskite Optoelectronics”, we have invited quite a few internationally well-established experts at different career stages to discuss the recent progress, and brainstorm the future directions. We hope that this workshop will also stimulate the potential collaborations in the field.
