学术报告:Controllable growth Layered chalcogenide for photodetectors

时间:2015年10月30日周五下午4:00 地点:老楼201报告厅 报告摘要:Originally inspired by the spectacular success of graphene, interest in the 2D nanomaterials is extended well beyond graphene [1]. Unlike graphene whose constituents are limited to be carbon atoms, layered chalcogenide materials (LCMs) comprise cations, which can be semiconductors (like Ge and Sn) or transition metals (such as Mo and W), and anions that can be ‐S, ‐Se, or ‐Te. This richer variety in compositions can provide the 2D LCM nanostructure with new functionality that cannot be obtained from graphene. Developing sophisticated synthetic capabilities is important for exploring the full potential of the 2D nanomaterials. In this talk, we first report controlled vapor growth of two kinds of LCM nanosheets, i.e., GeS-type quasi-LCM nanosheets with high growth rate and SnSe2-type nanoplates whose growth rate is relatively slow [2, 3, 4]. The fundamental understanding of the key factors that influence these typical chalcogenide nanosheets growth can provide useful guidance for the development of general paradigms to control their synthesis. Based on the insight understanding the growth mechanism, we developed simple methods to synthesize large scale few layer MoS2, WS2 film [5, 6]. The strong surface-absorbate sensitive photo-detecting performance was found for monolayer WS2 film and enhanced photoreponse of ZnO-WS2 heterostructure will also be discussed in this talk [6,7, 8].
